Spirit guides or soul guides are disincarnated beings that have chosen to help or guide us at a time of our earthly existence. The time that they are with us may be your entire lifetime or a particular time in which we are concentrating on one specific aspect of ourselves.
We may choose to incarnate with the same souls repeatedly to continue learning together through many lifetimes. Therefore, a soul that was your son in one life may be your mother in another lifetime, or brother or friend or mailman.
The more you concentrate on your self–development, the higher you cause your vibration to become, the higher vibration guides you will attract to your self. There are Ascended Masters and teachers in Spirit that are waiting for souls to increase their vibration so that they can receive their teaching and guidance.
Now that we know what we want to do and why we want to do it, let’s see how.
Dreams- When preparing for bed, think about your goal and purpose. Lie down, relax and tell your guides your intentions. For instance, I desire to know why I keep getting the same kind of job over and over again. Your guides are here to aid you in your soul growth and spiritual evolution. They probably won’t tell you the winning lottery numbers or such. Remember, it is a higher purpose. Then simply allow them to give you the answer in your dreams by having a relaxed open mind. Of course this technique works best for those that remember their dreams.
Meditation- The same principle applies to meditation as to dreams. You should have a clear intent, goal and purpose in mind. You then invite them to give you an answer in meditation. Sometimes I use an elaborate scene in which to visualize this encounter and sometimes I just listen for the answer.
Channeling- Similar to mediation but you actually let the guide speak through you. This usually requires training in how to move your conscious mind aside to bring the Spirit through.
Automatic writing and Spirit drawing- Similar to channeling but letting the guide work through your hands.
